Before transporting us to infinity, the book is in itself a finite object. Belgian artistic duo Lore Rabaut and Frank Depoorter play on this sense of ambivalence. Across the shelves of the Jacques Cerami gallery, the surfaces of their books gently cave in and undulate, with covers reminiscent of medieval miniatures. As precious receptacles, these book-installations lead us to travel through immaculate worlds that beg to be inhabited.
